50 little bustards

Question

No funny comments please about changing the "u" to "a" and I know this is the "silly season" with see other post with kangeroo sightings but are there any ornithologists on this site?

I had the honour to see around 50 little bustards in the middle of a ploughed field in Kraainem on Wednesday morning.

As they are not supposed to be natives of northern Europe, can anyone shed any light?

Rachel, 50 little bustards in Belgium would indeed be an incredible sight, and quite possibly a first. I have checked the records, and one appeared in 2008. Are you absolutely sure they were little bustards? Were they male or female?
