Hello all - thinking of taking some visitors to Aachen Xmas market on the train. If I take the train in, is it easy to get to wherever the xmas market is? Is it worth an overnight stay or just a day outing? Thanks for any tips!

Yes, you can reach the Xmas market on foot. You are just across the street from the main pedestrian area.
If you want to have diversity, you might want to consider going to Koln, which has a few Christmas markets...
