ADVICE ON BOARDING SCHOOL

Question

We would like to have feedback from someone who has experience with a Dutch boarding school in Dilbeek, Belgium. We want to send our 13 years old son to this boarding school. Most importantly advantage and disadvantage of boarding school in general
Thanks,

There are 143 ordinary Flemish system boarding houses in Belgium. If you stated why you are looking at dilbeek, it might be helpful for a response.

If you are speaking about Regina Caeli, the internat part of the school is quite small and most of the students who live in have some special challenges - quite often they have difficult home situations or they are in need of some extra discipline that their parents for one reason or another cannot provide. Best if you go visit yourself and see if you can talk to some parents. It might be a good solution - depending on your needs.

Hi, We visited many places in Brussels and outside Brussels, we prefer the one that in Dilbeek is because it has a choice for someone who wants to study science and modern languages and the school and place to sleep is in the same place. Since we both parent working full time we just think that it would be better for him to put him in boarding school. Thank you for ideas and advise.

I think its quite common for children to be in internaat because of family circumstances less than positive than for the advantages of boarding. If you're happy with the internaat and school subject options, then you've probably answered your own question.
