Affordable Art Fair Brussels returns to Tour & Taxis from 4 to 8 February

08:46 15/01/2026

Affordable Art Fair Brussels returns to Tour & Taxis for its 17th edition with 91 Belgian and international galleries showing more than 600 established and emerging artists.

From 4 to 8 February, the contemporary art fair is a beacon for collectors and art enthusiasts alike to view and purchase original artworks, from paintings and prints to sculpture, ceramics and photography.

It is also truly an international affair with galleries travelling to the Belgian capital from 18 different countries. Although the majority hail from Europe, there are art galleries from Colombia, Japan and South Korea.

Ensuring that the highly-accessible event offers a fresh perspective on the art market today, 21 of the galleries present this year are newcomers. Joining regular Belgian art galleries on the roster, they include HU! and Sablon d’Art from Brussels, along with Liège’s Buronzu Gallery and Lauren Van Middelem Gallery from Knokke. On the international front, Electron Libre (Paris), Nagyházi Contemporary (Budapest) and Culto Gallery (Bogotá) all make their first trip to the fair.

Artist highlights include Sacré Fred (Galerie Veyssière), a French artist who creates surreal scenes on canvas, transposing 3D compositing software via precise yet ethereal brushstrokes. Meanwhile, Élodie Antoine, (HU!) specialises in soft sculptures that explore the potential of materials such as thread, fabric, wallpaper, wool carpet and felt. Nigerian painter Henry James (Electron Libre) celebrates African culture and heritage through vibrant colours and fabrics, while Belgian artist Corrie van Leeuwen (60 Cent Gallery) has developed a distinctive quilting style that combines technical mastery with personal storytelling. Alongside the multiple gallery booths displaying artists’ creations, installations dot the exhibition space. Oasis is a lush large-scale work by Alfonse, Paul et les autres that explores raw nature; a playful work filled with contradictions. From a distance, it is a vibrant exotic and stereotypical image, while the visible brushstrokes, wood cuts and nuts and bolts of the installation become evident the closer you get.

A key mission of the fair is to make art accessible to everyone, which is why works are deliberately priced between €100 and €10,000. There is also a selection of art by new galleries in the famous ‘Under €1,000 Wall’.

For the second year in a row, visitors can take advantage of the complimentary Art Advice service, hosted by Brussels-based art advisor Amandine Ickx. During the public days (5-8 February), she will share expert tips on navigating the fair, understanding contemporary art, forming personal taste in art and discovering how living with art can enrich lives. It notably targets both first time buyers and seasoned collectors.

Nature and Connection theme

KOZ DOS (3)

For this 17th edition, the theme Nature and Connection is an invitation to reflect on the important relationship between humans and the natural world. In the face of environmental challenges and increasingly digital and fast-paced lives, artists are inspired by nature: highlighting its beauty, fragility and the pressing need to reconnect with the natural environment. It is a motif that is expressed in curated displays of works from participating galleries and live painting by campaign artist Koz Dos (examplepictured above), as well as the Oasis installation.

Both the Brussels and Amsterdam fairs are now headed by newly-appointed co-fair directors Atena Abrahimia and Annick Reibestein. The pair have been key contributors to the two fairs for over five years, combining deep art fair expertise and complementary skill sets.

"We’re excited to continue shaping a vibrant space where everyone feels welcome to discover and collect contemporary art, while sparking meaningful connections. We can’t wait to welcome you to the next editions,” say the directors.
