Albert and Paola back in Belgium after four months

King Albert and Queen Paola have returned to Belgium for the first time in four months. The royal pair appeared at Saint-Luc University Hospital in Brussels to attend a lecture by Professor Benoît Lengelé, a specialist in microsurgery, reconstructive and plastic surgery.

Lengelé performed surgery for skin cancer on King Albert on two occasions. The man is an authority in the field of face transplants, having performed the world's first partial face transplant on a human in 2005.

Until now, King Albert and Queen Paola have spent the last several months on a yacht in the Mediterranean Sea.
