Anderlecht condemned for overcharging away fans
Anderlecht football club has been ordered to pay a partial refund to 900 Bayern Munich fans who were charged €100 for standing-room tickets at a Champions League match in Brussels last November.
European football governing body Uefa said the inflated ticket price for away fans was in breach of its regulations. Anderlecht has two weeks to arrange a €30 refund - at a total cost to the club of €27,000.
Bayern supporters attending the match on 22 November threw fake €100 notes on to the pitch and unravelled a large banner asking: "Is your greed now finally satisfied?" Their protest cost Bayern Munich a €20,000 fine.
Uefa rules state that "unless the clubs agree otherwise, the price of tickets for supporters of the visiting team must not exceed the price paid for tickets of a comparable category that are sold to supporters of the home team".
