appartments in Brussels

I'm moving to Brussels in a few weeks and came over this week to view apartments. So far every single one of them has been strange!

Today I arranged to view a house share. Got to the place and the guy seems really nice, but when I looked around the place there was pornographic magazines and anal beads left out on display in one of the bedrooms! Is it me or is that strange? Not sure whether to rule that one out completely because its a great place and quite cheap but as a single girl living with a guy it could become weird...
