Applying for nationality with F-card

Question

Hi,

This year I am reaching my 5 years of legal residence in BE, and thinking of applying for citizenship. I am interested to know if someone has practical experience of applying for citizenship (went themselves through the procedure) being a holder of F-card.
I meet all criteria but I heard that it is better to apply with F(+)-card, though the official sources and the law say: one can apply with both since they are considered permanent residence documents.

Any experience sharing and advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
D.

Hey Denniss
Did you renew your F card before applying for nationality?
My f card is going to expire in 3 months...now what should I do? Should I apply for a new F card or nationality?
I went to the city hall near my home 2 times and they said 2 different things
That’s why I am little bit confused
Once they said come when its five years of your card and last time they said i have to ask permission to renew my f card before 2 to 3 months and after one month of the expire dat of older f card i can apply for nationality
I am really confused
It would be so kind if you help me little bit with some information please
When did you apply?
Did you renew your F card and then apply for nationality?
Thank you in advance
Kindest regards

Dear Denniss, First of all, congratulations for the nationality :)
Secondly, I would like to ask you about the “explanation letter of the reason for 1 week interruption between your residence cards”. As I have 2 days interruption, I would like to know what kind of letter I should write to the commune (1000 Brussels as well) when I apply for nationality? Is there a specific format? Should I ask a lawyer? Thank you in advance!

Hi, my situation is a bit complex, i already have the F+ card, but still not able to speak the language to A2 level, i was advised that the only way to bypass the language barrier to qualify for citizenship is to do any professional training for 400 hours, has anyone been in such a situation before? Any idea of a training session i can join is welcomed. Help needed.
