Aviapartner strike_ compensation for a cancelled Ryanair flight

Question

Hello everybody,

Following the Aviapartner strike my flight from Zaventem last week was cancelled by Ryanair and I was forced to book an alternative flight. Ryanair (quelle surprise) now turns deaf ear about their customer duties. A force majeur they claim.

Any ideas how to get them to repay my additional costs / refund my ticket? What is Aviapartner's liability to customers - if any?

Thanks for taking your time!

Somewhat surprisingly, my experience with Ryanair, apart from the major inconvenience of having a flight cancelled, is that they actually process refunds very quickly and efficiently.

If it's any help, they've just repaid us for our cancelled flights, but it's taken a few days. We didn't claim for any other costs though.

Thanks. They returned the cancelled flight fee or payed for the alternative flight (if it was dearer, of course)?

They repaid the flight (but they did offer another flight instead, which wasn't suitable).
