Bach concert - La Chapelle des Minimes

Our May concert’s first cantata powerfully illustrates suffering and divine anger.  But the eloquent second cantata - written exactly three hundred years ago - counsels compassion and generosity.  Both works feature some remarkably imaginative choral writing, with Bach at his most inventive.
