You do know that we are living in a country where 60+% of the population are NOT French-speaking? Why then are you surprised to find someone who needs help with French?

In the U.K. the equivalent would be something like "Companies House", or the "Registrar of Companies"

The problem is that there ISN'T an equivalent to the BCE in the UK and even a list of VAT registrations wouldn't do because many "independents" aren't registered as they would have to be in Belgium. Indeed, while there are obviously rules about registering for tax purposes, there is no real control of "independents" in the UK and the Belgian concept of not only being compelled to register but also having to be be qualified to register would be quite alien to most British entrepreneurs.

I think that you have to use the Belgian term, preferably in both its Dutch and French forms, and use a footnote to explain briefly what its purpose is. Trying to concoct a UK (or US) equivalent, or using a term like "Companies' House", is likely to lead to significant misunderstandings.

You should leave it as "Banque-Carrefour des Entreprises ( BCE)" and describe what it is.
