Belgian cycling team wins world title

Belgium’s Omega Pharma-Quick Step won gold at the World Cup team time trial on Sunday, a new event at the cycling world championships which took place in Valkenburg, the Netherlands. The team made it to the finish line with all six members, including Tom Boonen and the individual time-trial defending champion Tony Martin of Germany, just three seconds ahead of American outfit BMC Racing Team. "They did everything perfectly," says Omega team leader Tom Steels. New Australian team Orica-GreenEDGE collected bronze.
