Belgian & French TV stations by satellite

Question

I would like to stop my Proximus TV subscription and wondering if options are available (satellite or even terrestrial) for watching stations such as RTL, RTBF, TF1, France2, France 24 etc for free. If, for example Astra, please let me which one. I have an excellent dish facing directly south when centered but it is fitted 25 cm away from the wall behind it, so it does not have a very wide range for rotation.
Thanks

Emille B.

If your TV is fairly recent and so has a built in DVB T tuner , you can watch RTBF 1, 2 and 3, for free with a rather cheap antenna . Broadcast is digital , so same quality as Proximus.
if you live near France , you might be lucky to watch some french channels this way as well .

Hi Mimi If you have a dish you can I believe bodge on a free sat box from the UK. But you would need to look at the fittings and get someone to connect them so they communicate. I'm not sure what local TV you'd get from that but worth a look. I'm not clear there is much free anymore via an aerial

Ideally you need a Tntsat or Fransat decoder with free viewing card or subscription ( Canal+, ABsat, BEin, OCS ). Generic decoders and Some UK Freesat decoders allow you to watch a few French channels ( not TF1 ).
I install them myself so I know from experience...
