Belgian Nationality declaration via court of appeal

Question

Hi folks,

I applied for Belgian Nationality 2 years ago but was rejected on frivolous grounds (Commune made an error in the calculation of my length of stay). Since the grounds for the rejection were unfounded I appealed to the court of first instance and now 2 years later, have won the case. The judge told me that I would receive within one month a letter from the courts confirming this decision.

My question is: does anyone have experience on what happens next? Do I need to go back to the commune armed with this judgement or do they send me a convocation themselves? Does anyone have any experience on how long the procedure to get nationality takes from here on out?

cheers

Hi you first of all you will receive convocation from police to receive the judgement and then you have to wait around 6 month and then commune will send you a new convocation to bring your picture with some Euro and then within one month you will have your card. Good Luck
