Belgian nationality process after submission

Question

Hi all,
I've been living in Belgium, Kortrijk for 5 yrs now, have worked ever since, and i passed an appropriate language exam too. Thus i'm eligible for the citizenship, I'll submit my "dossier" soon at the Commune.
Does anyone have an experience with the procedure afterwards? I was told they'll launch an investigation and check me. How does that work? Do they come to your place? Is it like an interview? In what language? What if you're not @home, do they call you?

Thx a lot for your help
Margo

The best people to advise you are the people who deal with this at the commune. They can check all the documents are in order and explain what boxes you need to tick.
Address all your questions to them.
