Belgian’s foreign minister says Ukraine should organise differently

23:11 09/03/2014

Belgian’s Foreign Minister Didier Reynders has jumped head first into the international debate surrounding the Ukraine. On his way to Kiev as part of a Benelux delegation, Reynders said that Ukraine’s future lies in its ability to develop a new kind of political system. The foreign minister would like to see multiple regions in the contested country be given autonomy. Reynders sees such a move as one that will lower the tensions, both within and outside of Ukraine.

The Foreign Minister will be taking part in high-level meetings with other Benelux leaders in an attempt to have their voices heard on the global stage, as well as help influence the opposing parties in order to come to a peaceful conclusion.
