Belgium Nationality
Hello there, l am considering applying for Belgium nationality. I've worked here since 2005 and first registered in 2006. In all, l've lived here for 9 years. However l left for a year in 2012 and returned in December 2013? Does anyone know if l can apply for Belgium nationality or must l wait until l've spent five years here without a break ? Grateful for any advice, Thank you
Go read the links on the last question, I am pretty sure it is going to be 5 years uninterrupted employment or 10 years uninterrupted residence, meaning no interruptions, meaning waiting till next year minimum.
Go and ask your commune. There are several procedures you can follow. One of them might apply to you.
During your five years, it is allowed to have been absent for a maximum of 1 year but no longer than 6 months in a row.
