Belgium's Princess Astrid victim of robbery in Paris

Princess Astrid was robbed last week outside of Paris, confirms VTM News after reports from Le Parisien and the Royal Palace. The princess promptly reported the incident to the local police, but the Palace would not divulge any further details.

According to Le Parisien, Astrid, her husband Lorenz and one of their daughters were stuck in a traffic jam shortly after exiting the motorway in Aubervilliers, north of Paris. An unknown number of thieves smashed a window of the Mercedes and ran off with the princess's purse. Inside were €2,000 and all of Astrid's identity papers, writes the newspaper.
