‘Belgium’s smartest cat’ lives in Halle

Jinx has been voted the smartest cat in the country, according to a recent poll conducted by Felix brand cat food, report various Belgian media. As many as 2,467 cat owners signed up their cats for a chance to win the title. Other than Jinx, from Halle in Flemish Brabant, the poll found that the smartest cats in Belgium live in Antwerp.

Jinx (pictured) beat out more than 5,000 other feline candidates for the win, convincing the judges with his “playfulness, intelligence and sense of discovery”, all discernible in one submitted cat selfie. Jinx’s biggest talent is taking selfies with the camera on his owner’s smartphone.

Els, Jinx’s owner, is proud of her tomcat: "Jinx is incredibly curious," she beams. “He is constantly looking for adventure and loves to discover new places.”
