11:34 12/11/2014

Brussels’ two-star Michelin restaurant Bon-Bon is number one in the country, the esteemed restaurant review guide Gault Millau announced on Monday in the 12th edition of its guide for Belgium and Luxembourg, reports De Standaard.

For the first time in 10 years, chef Christophe Hardiquest has earned his restaurant in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre/Sint-Pieters-Woluwe a score of 19.5/20, good for first place in Belgium, a position he must share with Peter Goossens, whose three-star restaurant Hof van Cleve in Kruishoutem, East Flanders, holds the title of Belgium’s best restaurant for the fourth time in a row, according to the restaurant guide.

Restaurant Bon-Bon scores better the other top Brussels restaurant, Comme Chez Soi, which lost half a point (18.5/20), and Bruges restaurant Karmeliet, which lost a whole point (17/20).

The Brussels Young Chef of the Year is Damien Bouchery of Bouchéry in Uccle/Ukkel, and the Brussels winner in the category price/pleasure this year is Unico, located in Ixelles/Elsene. The Discovery of the Year goes to Beaucoup Fish in the centre of Brussels, and Little Paris in Waterloo.

The biggest improvement was booked by Samouraï in Brussels and Boury in Roeselare, West Flanders, each with a score of 17/20.

Atmosphère de poésie.

Dans la
profondeur
d'un rêve
matinal, dans
le souffle de
la mer qui
chante le sourire
et la voix des
pensées....
