12:04

Belgian carrier Brussels Airlines is launching flights to the Egyptian capital of Cairo on 29 March 2027.

The new service will operate five times  a week during the summer season with a view to expanding the connection throughout the year.

Cairo’s newly-reopened Grand Egyptian Museum is just one of the attractions for the Middle East destination.

Brussels Airlines is also increasing the frequency of its flights to Kilimanjaro, while adding capacity to popular European leisure destinations.

For the Tanzania destination, a third weekly flight will operate from late June 2027. Closer to home, the airline will offer more flights to Funchal in Madeira, Malaga and Nice during the busy summer period.

It is also maintaining its seasonal service to the Arctic destination of Evenes in northern Norway for travellers looking to escape the summer heat, as well as explore the region.
