Brussels Airport was evacuated for three hours on Saturday evening after a bomb scare.
The departure hall and baggage areas were closed as the threat was investigated and determined to be a false alarm, an airport spokesperson said.
Security forces had received a suspicious report, according to a federal police spokesperson, prompting the need for several hundred passengers to wait in the terminals or aboard planes while the investigation was conducted.
Residual delays took place on Sunday as a result.
