Brussels' Cultural Hotlist 100 is the definitive guide to events in 2022
For 2022, the Brussels Cultural Guide has a new name - The Cultural Hotlist 100. The guide also has a new more compact format for easy transportation when out exploring the city. We spoke with Guy de Bellefroid, the director of the Fondation pour les Arts, publisher of the guide.
What’s new this year?
The guide has been completely redesigned so it’s now more inspiring and attractive. We have a new format and we have new content also because there are more than events - there are also places, there are parks, there are a lot of ideas for going out.
But what hasn’t changed is the access to all the information about cultural events taking place in Brussels in 2022?
Yes, the objective is twofold, it’s not to miss the essentials but at the same time to get off the beaten track, so we have really everything that is happening in Brussels during one year. We are the only book giving this panorama of the cultural life in Brussels, so you have 100 ideas for going out, but also at the end of the book you have a complete agenda with all the big exhibitions, festivals, shows and concerts.
And you say that there are not just events this year, but also locations?
That’s also a new thing this year. We have a mix between events and locations and in the locations we have a lot of green locations, a lot of nice parks and venues.
Do you have any favourite events?
In terms of events, there are so many but I really like Collectibles, it’s a design fair. I like Art Brussels and the Kunstenfestivaldesarts, and so much more.
The Guide (€8.50) is available now in most Brussels bookshops, and also in Tasty, Cook & Book and Leopold Café Presse.
