The Hi-Stakes are a hyper-energy rhythm & blues band from Amsterdam featuring Sam Ghezzi on vocals and tenor sax. They play original tunes, with lyrics full of irony and passion, from a vast range of popular genres of the ‘40s and ‘50s, be it a lyrical blues ballad or an explosive old school rhythm & blues number. Their entirely original repertoire covers everything and anything in between the jazz and the blues worlds.
BRBC houseband Midnight Mary will be performing their popular R'n'B repertoire, featuring classics by Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Bo Diddley, Elmore James, Junior Wells, Link Wray, Big Mama Thornton, Otis Redding, Al Green and others.

The concert will be followed by a late-night blues jam, with free entrance, with Roman as master of ceremonies.

BRBC returns on 8 June 2024 with Lord Rochester + Midnight Mary for the final concert in 28 rue de la Tulipe :-(
