"Cadastral Income" to pay for the King's salary (not the roads of Wallonia)

Question

I am a potential homebuyer (Brussels Region) and I want to calculate the "cadastral income" of a property on the market. Sometimes this income is listed on the real-estate ad, sometimes the realtor knows this from the top of his head... Not in my case. I've looked at several "government" websites (if I am allowed to use such a word in Belgium) and there is no clear information on this topic. The property is 300,000 euros. What, I wonder, would be my fictitious "cadastral income"....

R

Hola!
I can give you a fictitious answer which is based only on my experience and the taxes I paid on properties over the years.
Well the yearly tax or rente cadastrale is more or less equal to a month rent on that property. Of course you might have deductions or less realistic amounts but it is not that different.
Anyway if you are serious about a property you are allowed to ask all the paperworks you need, which is also advisable to do for the last couple of years.

If the agent doesn't know, then ask the agent to find out. That's their job.
