central heating - frequency of maintenance in Brussels region
Can someone please tell me on how often gas heating systems, whether on the floor or wall mounted, need to be serviced in Brussels? I think it is every three years.
What about those gas heaters that some people have in their kitchens just for heating water on demand?
I understand that for mazout/oil central heating systems, the service has to be done annually.
Depends on the system and on who you ask. If you rent, every year, and you need to keep proof. If the system is open, every year, and get a carbon monoxide detector. If under 5 or so years old, you might risk every 3 years.
It never occurred to me that there were specific rules for Bxl but, when I converted to gas in Flanders, I was told that every 2 years is the norm.
That said, I have a maintenance contract and they check it every year anyway.
