Civil marriage in home country if not registered there anymore

Question

Hi there, I think this is mainly a question for the Germans out here or those who may know: If I want to get married in Germany, but I have my residency in Brussels now (i. e. I'm not registered in Germany anymore), is it possible at all to have a civil wedding in my home town (even if my future husband is from Germany too, but from another city?)

Why don't you call your local admin in Germany and ask them?

Yes you can marry in your home town. You might have to register there for a short period of time in order to meet residence requirements.
Check with the local authorities to find out what the arrangements are.
