Comments on articles in The Bulletin

Question

Hello, if I wish to comment on an article, how will my comment be used? Will it be published in The Bulletin?

I once saw some selected replies used in an article in The Bulletin. I think they have a right but they do not always use it.

As with any website, anything you post here belongs to the publisher. They can do whatever they want with it. If they want to publish it in the Bulletin they can.

Take a look at the bottom of this page. There is a link to "Terms of Service". Read under paragraph "Copyright - Intellectual Property Rights".

"Unless agreed otherwise by separate contract, by transmitting texts, photographs, drawings, graphs, images, sounds, data and other materials to a Mediahuis Domain every legal or natural person transfers all ownership of the aforementioned works, including intellectual property rights and copyrights, to the companies of the concerning Mediahuis Entity, and indemnifies the concerning Mediahuis Entity against alle [sic] possible claims from third parties in that regard."

They never used to ask permission and used to use the Q&A as a cheap way to fill column inches, however, given that the Bulletin hasn't been published properly for quite some years now, I would be very surprised if your comment becomes anything other than a comment.
