Question
hi all,
I've received my election card for the upcoming commune elections. Unfortunately I will be traveling that day and will not be in Belgium. What should I do? Is there a way to vote by post or what happens if I just don't show up. I would really like to vote, but tickets are already booked

If you don't vote, you might be asked to show why you didn't. Proof that you were out of the country - flight tickets, a dated bill from where you were staying etc. - is all that is needed.
