Compensation package for paralegal position in Belgium

Dear all,

Grateful if those of you who have experience in the legal field - in particular maybe experience as paralegal - could help me sort this out?

First, I would like to know: the job position of paralegal is it rather secretarial or rather more "legal stuff oriented"? I would tend to believe the second thing...but in Belgium my impression is that even if in the end you do rather intelectually demanding tasks, the name of the job - paralegal - drags you into a secretarial job category.

Am I right or wrong?

Then, what would be a proper compension package - in value - for a paralegal? I mean salary - gross monthly or gross yearly - plus other benefits normally offered for a paralegal position in Belgium?

I should say maybe that the person does not have a legal degree, but has attended legal courses during the bachelor studies. Moreover, now it has a few years of paralegal work experience...

And finally, would you maybe know & recommend legal headhunters?
