Couleur Cafe disappointed after major act pulls out without notice

Argentinian duo Ca7riel Y Paco Amoroso have cancelled their planned performance at Couleur Cafe music festival on Sunday at the last minute, which the organisers said took them by surprise and was done without explanation, despite multiple attempts to consult.

The organisers only discovered that the performers had cancelled their appearance through Ca7riel Y Paco Amoroso's website.

“This lack of respect has never happened in our 34 years of festival experience,” the organisers told Bruzz.

“The artists are in Europe on the day of their scheduled performance and could easily fulfil their commitment.”

The Argentine pop-house duo's popularity has grown rapidly over the past year and they have been touring Latin America, Europe and the United States in recent months, including a performance at Coachella, the renowned festival in California.

Couleur Cafe booked the duo in October 2024, before their sold-out performance at the AB Club in November.

Ca7riel Y Paco Amoroso were scheduled to perform on the main stage on Sunday night, but opted instead for a new performance at a festival in Austria, one day earlier.

“We made them a generous offer and even moved their performance to the main stage so they could bring their music to an even bigger audience,” the festival’s management said.

“Now they have informed us that they will not be coming to Brussels, without any explanation.”

Couleur Cafe said refunds were not possible due to this type of cancellation.

“With more than 100 artists on the programme, it’s simply not financially feasible to compensate cancellations individually,” the organisers said.
