COVID-19 testing

Question

I am travelling from New York to Brussels this weekend. I have been told by the Belgian Embassy that I need to get a COVID-19 test once I arrive in Brussels, but I am having trouble finding out how to get an appointment. I have rung a couple of hospitals and the information keeps changing. For instance, St Michel originally said they could do a test with a doctor's prescription, and now they are saying they've stopped their testing programme! If anyone has had a test recently and could give me any pointers, I would really appreciate it. Many thanks.

Hi Rosa,
-- If you are not registered with a doctor in Brussels, the number to call is 1710. You'll be put in contact with an on-duty GP who can prescribe a test.
-- You will need to fill in this online form before travelling:
https://travel.info-coronavirus.be/public-health-passenger-locator-form
-- As you're arriving from outside the EU, Belgium requires a 14-day self-isolation:
https://diplomatie.belgium.be/en
-- The foreign affairs helpline for any queries is +32 (0)2 501 4000.
