Crosage?
Question
I keep hearing on the Airforce network about a game tomorrow night called "crosage." It involves oblong balls that are batted around a town, and a large consumption of alcohol. I was trying to google it this morning, but could not find anymore details. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
Today is Shrove Tuesday.
There is a football game that goes on all day in Ashbourne in the UK as well as, for example, the Olney Pancake Races. There must be loads of similar celebrations throught the Christian world connected to the start of Lent.
I don't know whether the ladies taking part at Olney get drunk but I'll bet the men in Ashbourne do.
I'm reasonably confident that the Royal Air Force is not directly involved with either of them.
