Culture and sports take over Brussels pedestrian zone this summer

The preparatory construction works for the redesign of Brussels' pedestrian zone are already underway at some sites or even nearing completion, such as at Place Fontainas. But the spacious area around the Bourse is still open and buzzing with activity during the summer months, according to Bruzz, with numerous events popping up on social media under the hashtag '#BXLove Summer'.

The hashtag #BXLove, which started off as a campaign for a handful of happenings in the capital, has evolved into a veritable programme of events taking place all summer long across Brussels, but especially in the pedestrian zone.

The events range from music and dance performances, street theatre and circus acts to cultural spectacles from all over the world and open sporting sessions like breakdance lessons, zumba and martial arts.
