David Goffin nets €1m for reaching ATP tennis final

David Goffin has pocketed almost €1 million in prize money after becoming the first Belgian to reach the final of the ATP World Tour Finals in the tournament's 48-year history.
Goffin beat the world's two top-ranked players, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, to make it to the final in London on Sunday, where he lost to Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov 7-5 4-6 6-3.
The Belgian picks up €162,000 for taking part, €324,000 for his round-robin match wins and €496,000 for beating Federer 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 in Saturday's semi-final.
Goffin said: "It was a special week for me, a lot of emotions, a lot of fatigue." He heads to Lille next weekend, where France hosts Belgium in the Davis Cup final.
