DVD recorder hard drive

Question

The hard drive on my DVD player is full with recorded movies etc.Its so completely full that there is no room to record anything else and it does not allow me to record over the stuff already there. Problem is, I dont know how to erase all the old recordings from  to make way for new ones. There are no directions in the booklet about erasing the HD. Would anyone know what the procedure is please. thank you.

I suppose it depends on which DVD recorder you are talking about. Mine has a menu where I can choose delete. I always delete every recording as soon as I have watched it
