Echoes of the Baltic

Revel in a unique concert where music and scents will take you on a journey to the Baltics. This original concept, designed by Brussels-based pianist Monika Dars, pairs fragrant Baltic scents from every season with music pieces by Peter Vasks. 

MEET THE MUSICIAN

Monika Dars, Lithuanian concert pianist, laureate of the Joseph Darche Piano Prize in Brussels. She has won a prize at Luigi Nono Chamber Music Competition in Italy and with the Urban Piano Quartet she was the winner of the Supernova 2019 competition (Belgium) and the Nordic Strings chamber music competition (Denmark). As a soloist, Monika has already performed accompanied by several Symphony and Chamber orchestras and 2019 and 2020, she performed regularly for the Lincoln Center of Performing Arts in NYC. She has appeared at prestigious European festivals all over the continent. Her recordings have been broadcasted by Lithuanian National Radio and Television, Musiq3, Klara and Notele in Belgium, and BRAVA channels in The Netherlands.
