elections 25th May

Question

Hello. I am on the electoral register so am obliged to vote, but never received a convocation, which I need to present in order to be able to vote. Obviously I should have followed it up before this, but I didn't. Does anyone know what I should do? Thanks

J

There are 2 registers that non-Belgians an register for. The local, and the European elections. If you only registered for the locals, then no, you will not be able to vote for anything this time round. If you registered for the Europeans, and got a confirmation letter, then call your commune and ask them what poling station you need to go to.

Thanks very much. That explains it. I didn't realise there are two registers, and must have registered only for the locals.
