Emergency heater repair

Question

Our gas heater decided to break down just in time for the long weekend. Can someone recommend a reliable (and not too much of a rip-off) 24/7 service or a plumber willing to work on Friday? I'm in the house with 2 little babies, and don't want to go without heat until Friday.

Thanks

If you're looking for a plumber, I highly recommend andy the plumber: http://andyfishplumbing.com/

I came across him through other people recommending him on this site and he was great. We needed a weekend repair in our bathroom, and other plumbers were quoting at least 150 euros just to show up, plus other fees.

Then fortunately I remembered having seen his name on this forum so we called him, and he quoted a fee of 120 euros and that was it. Then he replaced a part and he only charged 5 euros for it.

Our landlord was amazed because there was a similar problem about 2 years ago in another apt unit in the same building, and somebody came and charged 300 euros for the same job on a scheduled weekday visit.

And by the way, there was a broken cabinet in the bathroom and Andy fixed that too, even though it was not even part of the gig, and we didn't even ask him to do that.

I don't think you'll find anybody cheaper and more ethical than Andy.
