Euro 2020: What to do with Brussels’ stadium?

The European Football Association (UEFA) announced this week that it will hold the European football Championship 2020 throughout Europe instead of in just a few countries. This has forced Belgian authorities to take a hard look at the King Baudouin Stadium at Heysel in Brussels. As capital of Europe, Brussels should most certainly be included as host during the championships. But the stadium is long overdue for either a full renovation or total reconstruction, a decision that will have to made quickly in light of preparations for Euro 2020.
