eviction

Question

I didn't pay my rent for about 3 months due to the fact that my mandlord decided to up the charges on my flat by 150 euros without a reason.

I received a letter from his lawyer that I ignored. My reasoning was that he would probably have to go to court with me and I would be able to defend myself there.

However, I just received a letter from CPAS stating that they received notice that I would have to leave the flat and they werre able to help me.

What's going on here? Did I get evicted without being able to defend myself in court?

Thanks for the non-judgemental advice.

Hard to not be judgmental but....you have brought all this misery on yourself by ignoring the letter from the lawyer and for not paying your rent. You can't just ignore things in the hope they will go away--they don't, they just get worse. Best call the landlord or lawyer or CPAS and see what can be done at this point to fix this situation. You will likely have to pay up or get out.
