Five Belgian police posted to World Cup in Russia
Belgium is sending five police officers to the World Cup in Russia this summer to keep an eye on Belgian football fans.
Two of the five officers will be stationed in Moscow and three others will travel from city to city based on the Red Devils' match schedule.
The Belgian side will play their first match against Panama in Sotchi on 18 June, followed by Tunisia on 23 June in Moscow.
Le Soir reports that, of the group stage matches, the one presenting the greatest security risk is against England in Kaliningrad on 28 June.
Jean-Arthur Régibeau, Belgium's ambassador to Russia, has been visiting other host cities including Kazan and Samara, where the Belgian side could play if they make it through to the following rounds.
The five officers' visit to Russia is open-ended depending on how far the Red Devils progress. The World Cup takes in 11 Russian cities, with the final on 15 July.
