Foreign affairs minister launches new website to promote Belgium

Belgium's foreign affairs minister Didier Reynders yesterday announced the launch of the new website Focus on Belgium. Under the tagline 'People, stories, facts and figures', the site aims to showcase Belgium's strengths across various domains: creativity, diversity, up-and-coming talent, established values, trends and opportunities.

The new site is part of the expansion of the FPS Foreign Affairs' public diplomacy strategy, which is not only meant to support the Belgian embassies and consulates abroad in their promotion of Belgium, but also to give the local public more insight into all that the country has to offer.

Focus on Belgium is available in three languages: Dutch, French and English. It features weekly news items and the option to share information from the site via social media.

All institutions, organisations and individuals with news or information to contribute to Focus on Belgium are encouraged to send text, photos and/or video footage by email to focusonbelgium [at] diplobel.fed.be.
