Frequent telepnone calls
Is this on a mobile phone or a fixed telephone line?
If on a mobile, pretty much any mobile phone now have ways to block/ divert specific incoming numbers. You'd have to look up your phone user manual to find out, or just google.
If it's on a fixed line, it'll depend on 1) your actual telephone (which may have the capability to block certain calls) or 2) your phone provider (I think with Belgacom you have to specifically ring them up and ask them).

There is a Belgian equivalent to the UK "telephone preference" service, but if your number is already being used, then there probably isn't much you can do.

Check the number and you'll probably find that it isn't genuine. Tomorrow it will be slightly different. They use a 'number' as they know that people tend to ignore calls shown as from a blocked sender.
They call groups of numbers at one time so it isn't English but the fact that someone else has answered before you that means that they hang up.
I find that answering in Dutch gets rid of them eventually.
I regularly get two types of call. French girls calling about some special offer I have to collect from their clothing shop. The other one is an Indian voice supposedly from Windows Technical and that I have a problem on my PC, which as I tell them is unlikely because we only have Macs. This is an ancient scam to hack your PC. If anyone knows how to stop it, I would love to know. It is my landline. I tried becoming a whistleblower! Speaking very quietly so they turned the volume up, then blasting with a football whistle. Worked for a bit.
I also had many sales calls on my land-line, Called Proximus, they advised to register my number with https://www.dncm.be/fr and indeed since then it's quiet except for occasional computer generated calls - they explained at Proximus that these cannot be stopped.
