gas consumption
I just got my annual bill for gas / electricity, and have to pay a large amount compared with provisions. Having checked gas consumption, I see there is a massive increase in consumption compared with last 12 months. I can only imagine that's gone towards greater heating consumption, but do not recall if the winter just gone was colder than the previous. Does anyone recollect if we had a much colder winter this year (my memory has not registered this info !)? Thanks
Yep, it was no only an exceptionnaly cold winter but also much longer than normal. There was snow at the end of March which is very very rare.

I'm also expecting a major extra payment to be made once Electrabel sends the annual bill.
I seem to recollect that Electrabel announced a couple of months ago that the average gas bill was going to be around € 450 higher this year as a direct result of the long cold winter.
