German discount retailer Tedi to open stores in Belgium

14:53 04/03/2023

German retailer Tedi – short for “Top Euro Discount” – is planning to open between five and 10 stores in Belgium this year.

The low-cost retailer recently announced that it would be opening its first store in France, in Évreux, Normandy.

Tedi has almost 3,000 branches across 11 countries, with its native Germany hosting the lion’s share.

The bulk of its cut-price stock, which includes stationery, beauty products, home decoration, outdoor fittings, toys and pet supplies – to name just a few – comes for the most part from Asia, where it is picked up from destocking, end of series and even court-ordered liquidations.
