Good time to buy a new car?

Question

Does anyone know whether it would be better to wait to buy a new car during the Brussels Auto Salon , or would now , being almost the end of the year, be a better time to negotiate with dealers for a new car (7 seater, such as Seat Alhambra, VW Sharan, other 7 seaters)?

I have just bought a Ford 7 seater. Ford are very keen to move stock cars at present, and are offering interesting discounts if you take a stock vehicle, bigger discounts depending when the car was built. I ended up with a car in better spec than I expected, for less than the cost of my original spec and my car was only built in the last week of june. Strange thing is order to your spec and there is 3 month delay on delivery.
On the other hand Toyota were not very interested in negotiating a deal, so I walked away from them
