The cross-shaped Corten steel building appears to float on the water and combines architectural beauty with perfect integration into the landscape. The thorough renovation by leading architects Bovenbouw, Caruso St John, and DDS+ was awarded the European Heritage Award / Europa Nostra Award and an honorable mention at the Brussels Architecture Prize. The building has since become a real hotspot.
