Hairstylist at Home: Professional and personalised service serving clients in Brussels

With 30 years of hair styling experience, Amir enjoys the more personal service he can offer clients when visiting them in their home.

After working for international brands and owning his own salon, the hairdresser launched his own company Hairstylist at Home. He found the one-on-one relationship ensured a more creative partnership.

“Seeing people in their home enables me to discover their personality,” says Amir, who offers a full service: wash, cut, colour, highlights, blow-dry and styling for special occasions. He also provides haircuts for men.

Fluent in English, French and Dutch, the Brussels-born hairdresser uses hair products from Scandinavia that are entirely natural and based on essential oils.

While providing classic styles for clients aged 15 to 80, he likes to add a modern touch to reflect current trends. Each year, Amir heads to the globally-recognised Vidal Sassoon Academy in London to top up his skills.

In addition to international experience after two years of teaching in Thai capital Bangkok, Amir has styled famous actors and celebrities. His look book includes photos of actresses Isabelle Boulay and Déborah François (pictured above), who required elaborate period styles for their roles.

His creative skills at creating chignons and glamourous styles is useful when clients seek a head-turning look for a wedding, birthday or party.

Working daily (except Sunday) until 21.00 across the Brussels region, Amir promises a flexible and friendly service. The only equipment clients need to provide is a showerhead for washing hair.

Prices start at €70 for women (cut and dry), €40 for men’s haircuts.
