What a surprise, I don't see any comment, maybe nobody wanna share their price :)

In this case you should easily find out what is the labour price here in Belgium, but.. In case you go in holiday sometimes the taxi drivers ask you for the same distance different price, so here is the same case. You never know what is the TOTAL at the end of the bill, if you don`t ask at the beginning a quotation for the requested work(s).

So...

A handyman can offer you price for the work what you requested him. Usually you receive a detailed offer or a quotation what is more usual from self employed handymans. Who is not self employed I don't know how they work.

You can expect at least 20 - 35 Eur / hour. Generally they ask a transportation cost if they don't move their stuff with a bicycle. That can cost (in my case 35 Eur for transportation) but companies can charge up to 100 Eur. I have prove of that from different companies.

You can expect minimum 120 Eur for a simple work in Belgium( 60 Eur I payed for a companies just for taking a look at my freezer if it`s worth to repair or not), but I can send you several bills what I got from my angry and not satisfied clients and friends who received bills from different companies for a half hour work that costs at the end 700 Eur.TVAC.
The surprise is that you have to pay that, you can't do anything, because the work was urgent, was on Sunday, etc...so if you don`t know the company or their reputation, can be a surprise at the end.

My opinion is a normal price for 1 hour work arrive with 21%TVA up to 120 - 130 Eur.

My advise is to ask a quotation then is more convenient to work with somebody who will not double the discussed price at the end of the work. I have this habit to give a price then no surprise during the work or at the end of the work.
